Hello!
We're continuing our 113th Penn Central Car Movement series (PCCM) also known as our "virtual ops" between John's New York Central Train Layout , Neal's Atlantic Pacific R.R. , and my own Kings Port Division.
Yesterday we followed the dispatch of Kings Port & Western train WiBi-4 from Williams Yard. After setting out a car at West Mill the train is about to arrive at the KP&W's CS Yard in Binghamton, NY.
The train arrives at CS Yard.
After WiBi-4 is broken down the Lehigh Valley's Sayre Turn (from Sayre, PA) arrives at Binghamton to pick up eight empty hoppers that will be forwarded to a Pennsylvania coal mine.
More interchange action occurs when the Erie Lackawanna arrives to pick up cars to take to its nearby QD Yard. From there the cars will be placed on EL train NE-5 that will travel to Corning. They include:
Two coal hoppers for the Corning Glass Company's power plant...
...and one covered hopper loaded with silica sand. The PC plug door boxcar #106502 is headed to IBM with a load of American Hardware products.
...while three empty 60 footers and LV boxcar #8247 loaded with Delco batteries are going to ACME Auto Parts.

KP&W RS3 #566 is assigned to the local and takes it out of the yard.
The local sets out cars at Cavendish Foods...
...and ACME Auto Parts.
That wraps up the CS Yard Local's work!
As an epilogue lets head over to West Mill where switcher #8951 is pulling NYC boxcar #80755 and replacing it with TP&W #627 which was constructively placed nearby.

The NYC car is brought back into the yard.
One more PCCM car remains in West Mill Yard. NYC #47062 loaded with bagged iron ore from T&R Gravel for Port Owen Brick is waiting to be placed on the car float. Yardmaster Cappy Foster is waiting for other cars bound for Port Owen to arrive from Binghamton on a KP&W trasnfer that will interchange at West Mill.
After more cars arrive for Port Owen the carfloat will be loaded for its trip across the river and NYC #47062 will be set out at Port Owen Brick Co.

Terminal Yard out...
An excellent closing post that focused on both local deliveries and important interchanges. Seeing the LV and EL was a nice treat that solidified the KP&Ws place in the nationwide rail network. Nice job following up with the TPW / NYC boxcars at Canton Box. The Terminal Yard crew has faith that the NYC 47062 will be delivered to Port Owen Brick in the very near future. Another fine job Ralph!!!
