We're getting started on our 61st series of virtual operations that we call Penn Central Car Movements (P.C.C.M.s) .
Before dispatching a train with cars heading off my layout for John's New York Central Train Layout I'm following our Rail Traffic Management Form (which describes the cycles of movements for each car we have in common) that also includes some moves of cars from one industry on MY layout to another. These cars will later find their way off my layout in P.C.C.M. 62
There are quite a few Intra-layout moves on the Kings Port Division this time around that include:
Three New York Central Double Door 50 foot boxcars now empty at IBM in Binghamton are picked up by the KP&W and eventually forwarded to...
Zenith TVs in Bloomberg
After performing this set-out the KP&W pulls two empty B&M RBLs from Zenith that are later delivered to...
Corning Glass in Corning NY.
Two empty gondolas unloaded at Sal's Salvage are taken back to West Mill Yard and later carried by a Penn Central Kings Port Turn
to KP Steel to be loaded with steel slabs.
The aged NYC Paeemaker is pulled from Amalgamated Container full of 55 gallon drums for Quality Fabrications
This PC 40' Hi-Cube is going to Battaglia Bros.Warehouse loaded with kitchen appliances from Peerless Appliance.
After being unloaded at Van Winkle Canning, PC boxcar #229046 is spotted empty at International Paper Co.
PC gon #288673 that had its Gervais Pipe load removed at Williams Yard is forwarded empty to Amalgamated Container along with TP&W 627.
And, finally, EL 73510 is coupled onto a KP&W run back empty to Salamanca, NY.
That's it for the intra-layout moves that will set up P.C.C.M. 62. Next post will focus on the current P.C.c.M. 61 as cars are gathered to be dispatched to Selkrik for eventual forwarding to Terminal Yard and Elkhart.
