Thanks to some thoughtful blocking at Terminal Yard, two B&M RBL cars and one Hoschton Railway Co. car have been coupled together for their journey on the Kings Port & Western.
The HRC car is being transferred via the KP&W and the EL to Fisher Foods of Cleveland Ohio, loaded with baked goods from Hostess in Empire City.
The two B&M cars are empty for Corning glass.
Its fairly easy for the yard crew in SD9 #6925 to pull them out of a string of cars on track #3
Cars in front of the three for the KP&W are set aside on the next track...
The yard switcher closes in on the three cars...
...pulls them from the yard...
During the back up move to set the cars on the ready track, the crew observes that Sal has off-loaded his Caterpillar...but he hasn't put the loaner excavator back on the flat car for return to Empire City!
The three cars are ready for pick-up.
The train slows to a stop near Cappy's Yard Tower, passing the three cars it will pick up.
The power is cut to pick up the two B&M and one Hoschton Railway car.
backing up to grab the cars...
adding the cars to the train...
The cars from West Mill now coupled to the train, the crew awaits a green signal and permission to proceed. They ponder an ice cream run before getting started...
...but time is short. They get the high sign, notch up the throttle, and roll out of town toward Salamanca, NY with a stop at Corning.
Later that day the two B&M RBL cars are set out at Corning glass.
That's it for today as the Kings Port Division shuts down for Thanksgiving. Have a fun and safe holiday everybody!!

Terminal Yard out....
Great to see the KP&W playing the prominent role today! Too bad the KP&W crew didn't have time for the ice cream break. SD9s abound! The F7A-F7B-SD9 lash up has Penn Central and PC Ralph written all over it! I see Sal is up to his usual shenanigans. Another well done installment!

Rock Ridge Yard Out!
Great moves going on this holiday. Some people need goods no matter what day it is! Nice KP&W SD9 engine on that consist. Does Cappy pay the crew OT or does he give everyone birds for Thanksgiving?
Happy Thanksgiving to the KP&W Family!
The vegetation works really well with the stonework and the buildings!
