P.C.C.M. 72: Part 4 on the KPD

Howdy everyone!

Two trains have already been dispatched to John's New York Central Train Layout  and one to Neal's  Atlantic Pacific RR   from my Kings Port Division in this current series.   There is still a bit of business to take care of in the "outbound" part of my installments before focusing on the "inbound" moves next weekend.

From this vantage point at the KP&W's Williams Yard we can see a switcher assembling a transfer run for West Mill Yard.

It will be powered by the F7A/GP9 consist seen passing its freight cars to get to the head end below.

The one virtual ops car on this transfer run is NH #36116 loaded with new cans from American Can Co. of  Deering Jct, Maine for VanWinkle Canning in Bloomberg.   It came in on a B&M train.

The transfer run is about to be dispatched but is waiting for a pair of yard switchers to head out and pull cars the Penn Central left on the Kings Port interchange track in the last installment.

Watch the interchange cars get pulled into Williams Yard while the Transfer Run heads southbound to West Mill in the video below:

The two new virtual ops cars pass like ships in the night, one headed north and the other south.

After arriving at Williams Yard, LV #66392, destined for the Irwin Marine Corp. in Lakeport NH, finds itself placed as the first car in a train behind a B&M F7A/ GP9 consist.

Later in the day, after arriving at West Mill Yard, NH #36116 waits to be forwarded to VanWinkle Canning on the next Bloomberg run.

That concludes the "outbound traffic for P.C.C.M. 72 on the Kings Port Division.   Check back next weekend to see cars arrive from the A.P.R.R. and the N.Y.C.T.L.  to be forwarded to their consignees.   Remember to see what's happening on John and Neal's blogs (links at the top of the page)!

    1. Thanks John! I really appreciate receiving those two cars and thought it would be cool to have them pass by each other going sea prate ways during their debut op.

    Rock Ridge Yard Out!

Nice additions to the K.P.D. fleet. Your KP&W switchers are always fun to watch in action. The meet of both trains by Dave’s was nice as well as the guy in the street. A rail fan by chance? Rock Ridge is ready for the inbound freight!

  3. Thanks Neal! The guy in the street is a KP&W crewman. I decided to paint several figures in the same light brown top/ blue jeans scheme to identify them as KP&W employees. You'll see them during switching moves and also while they protect moves at Ulster Ave.
