Cars from the N.Y.C.T.L. were dropped off at the KP&W's Williams Yard the other day. They are now being set out at their respective consignees.
Three smaller units leave Williams Yard both shoving and pulling cars on the Steel Job local.
The train is first seen as coal hoppers emerge from the over pass by the Williams Yard Office...
...and cross Ulster Ave.
After the hoppers for KP Steel go by, B&M RBL #105, loaded with packaging materials for Blue Ribbon Flour, comes into view.
Before the coal hoppers are shoved into KP Steel's Receiving Yard the B&M car is cut and left behind. It will be moved to Blue Ribbon Flour after the hopper set-outs are completed.
The hoppers enter KP Steel's Yard.
The hoppers set out, the switcher consist returns to the B&M car
...couples up to it and gives it a shove toward Blue Ribbon Flour
Watch a short video of the action below:
Meanwhile, over at West Mill Yard, cars have been sorted for three local trains. The first includes only two cars: PC boxcar #104478, loaded with Rheingold Beer for Reynolds Beverage Distributors...
...and this PC covered hopper for Booms Ready Mix (a non-player car)
GP9 # 7085 gets the call for this short local.
..and enters the yard to pick up the two cars.
Watch the short local to Reynolds Beverage and Booms Ready Mix in the video below.
More switching action tomorrow!
Very enjoyable segment and videos. I really like the looks of your trio of KP&W “Pups” as Big Mike would call them. Great action on both sides of the layout!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Right!..."The pups". I haven't run them together very often but they worked out pretty well. Without the recorded sound in the background they are almost as noisy as Big Mike might complain about!
ReplyDeleteSome “Cyclone” spark arrestors on the Pups would make them and Big Mike very happy 😉

Rock Ridge Yard Out!
Nice work moving the cars. There's so much movement you need to look at it more than once (I confess, I did)...
As always great videos!

A fine showcase of pups! The three engines looked good and performed well. Nice to see them get the call. As always the videos were excellent and the whole entry was well done and enjoyable. Nice Job!
