The Kings Port Division has been a bit behind in this series but wraps up the current virtual ops series today.
A crew gathers at Williams Yard for WiBi-1, the KP&W's symbol freight from Williams Yard to Binghamton. This train will stop at West Mill to pick up a block of cars that were forwarded from the A.P.R.R. and the N.Y.C.T.L.
Pooled power for WiBi-1 today is a consist of four F7A's with KP&W partner railroad, the B&O, taking the point at the head end. The B&O units routinely arrive at either West Mill or Williams Yard with unit trains of empty hoppers from Rochester and then make the run back West with a manifest freight.
A pair of KP&W covered wagons completes the quartet.
Watch WiBi-1 leave Williams Yard in the video below.
Meanwhile, over at West Mill, cars from the A.P.R.R. going West on the KP&W include three Penn Central RBLs loaded with crates for IBM in Binghamton...
...and two 38 foot hoppers of coal from the N.Y.C.T.L. for Corning Glass's power plant.
In preparation for the arrival of WiBi-1, West Mill's switcher is pulling the cut of cars the train will pick up and placing them in a pocket to expedite the move.
The cut for Binghamton is ready for WiBi-1
Watch WiBi-1 roar over Ulster Ave's crossing on its way to West Mill in the video below:
The KP&W train arrives at West Mill...
....cuts the four unit consist and couples up to the block of cars set aside for pick up.
Pulling the block beyond the switch it then backs it into the rest of WiBi-1...
...and then pulls the train forward.
WiBi-1 departs West Mill as the sound of four EMD prime movers echos off the walls of Empire Grain and Canton Box Company.
See the train pass West Mill Yard as it leaves town for Binghamton
...and sets out the loads for the company switcher to place.
Later the three PC cars loaded with crates are set out at IBM.
That finally concludes the virtual operations for this series on the Kings Port Division. Thanks for riding along!

Another PCCM in the books! Nice work sending the PC box cars to IBM in upstate NY, as well as the rest of the freight. The KP&W always shines! The B&O engines are just classics. Nice to see them in action!

A Grand Finale!!! The four F7s looked great in consist and it was a very nice treat to see the BINO desuls get into the action! The KP&W Alco's cameo was well done. IBM and Corning Glass Works both look really nice. Nice job on wrapping up PCCM 63. Put it in the books!!!!
