My previous post was all about action on my layout as cars were forwarded to industries on the Kings Port division or returned to West Mill Yard. Cars sent to West Mill are now being sorted into a long block to be picked up by WV-2 from Weehawken. WV-2 will include cars sent from Neal's Rock Ridge Yard to Weehawken originally as train RW-1. WV-2 will stop at West Mill to set out and pick up cars for John R.'s New York Central Train Layout and Brian's Ralston Creek RR.
See Neal's post about dispatching RW-1 HERE
You'll recognize cars from RW-1 when they arrive at West Mill on WV-2.

Meanwhile, at West Mill, SD9 #6925 is the yard drill assembling the block of cars that will be heading to Selkirk and beyond.
Cars for industries on the New York Central Train Layout are coupled together.
The boxcars, Evans coil cars, and hoppers will be moved to the track in the background into that pair of covered hoppers.
...along with the depressed well flat with oversized load. Those three cars will be forwarded to the LIRR.
This string of cars is blocked for Brian's Ralston Creek RR
10:05 The rest of the cars back into the Ralston Creek block, creating a long cut for pick-up by WV-2. The tail end is seen below.
While the head end is near Sal's Salvage
14:30: WV-2 arrives at West Mill.
The cars from RW-1 comprise the first block on WV-2, starting with the two PC corrugated gondolas behind the locomotives...
...and ending with the red TPFX car.
WV-2 comes to a stop and the power is cut to pick up the cars at West Mill.
The trio of GP38-2s is coupled to the long cut, now making it a train. Air is pumped up and once all tests are done the train is ready to proceed to Selkirk.
Passing through Kings Port, here is the line up:
The Hoschton Railway Co car is consigned to Ralph's Grocery Whse. with a load of baked goods from Fisher Foods. The BAR car is loaded with Maine blueberries for Empire City Produce.
Three TOFCs with empty trailers for Terminal Yard.
Three 60 foot auto parts cars for Ford.
Two Evans Breadbox coil cars with steel coils for Ford.
Six empty hoppers being forwarded to Hudson Coal.
Cars being forwarded to the LIRR: Two covered hoppers of flour for the Ronzoni Company.
A large air conditioning unit from Peerless Appliance for SCC College's building expansion project.
A cut of cars to be transferred to the Ralston Creek RR for consignees in the Denver region: SP boxcar 127433 loaded with bagged flour from Blue Ribbon for the Star Bread Co. The CB&Q gon of scrap is for Ball Container in Golden CO.
The white LV boxcar is loaded with new bottles from Corning glass for Tivoli Beer, B&M #74005 is loaded with Peerless Appliances parts for Lefty Martin, and the PC Hi Cube is full of Peerless products for an authorized Distributor in Denver.
And now the block from Rock Ridge: two corrugated gons with steel slabs for Mid Island Steel.
Three PC cars loaded with juice products from Tropicana for Ralph's Grocery Whse.
The Triangle Pacific car is being returned empty to BCOL/Vancouver via Selkirk. The car will eventually be loaded with apples for Empire Produce. The rest of the train consists of non-virtual ops cars headed to Selkirk.
The one car from Rock Ridge pulled from WV-2 is PC #360063 loaded with delicious Freihoefers baked goods for Battaglia Whse.
That's it for cars moving off the Kings Port Division. Next up: the arrival of a train of cars sent from the NYCTL at West Mill!

Rock Ridge yard Out!
Nice work sorting the inbound cars for West Mill and points beyond. Make sure Cappy Foster and the crew leave the Freihoefer's cookies in the freight car so they get to their destination intact!
Those Freihoefer chocolate chip cookies are tempting! A childhood favorite of mine when I lived in NY!
