P.C.C.M. 60: 3rd KPD post. Cars for Rock Ridge.

Hi folks,

For some reason my blog wouldn't allow me to include a few more photos so  I'm adding this 3rd post featuring cars heading off the KPD to John R. and Neal's layouts.

A transfer run from Selkirk to Weehawken headed by big GE power was shown in my previous post crossing Ulster Ave in Kings Port heading toward West Mill.

Shortly after 12:00 the Weehawken bound train reaches West Mill.

The twin U Boats are cut to pick up the KP&W cars set out for them.

The WM Towerman steps out to observe the action.  Sal Monella, seen at the bottom of the photo, breaks from his salvage work to take a look as well.

The KP&W cars are picked up and backed into the rest of the train.

The cars for Rock Ridge in tow, the train pulls forward.

Passing through West Mill....

A final glance at the KP&W cars before they duck into the tunnel at the south end of town.

On to Weehawken and Rock Ridge!

That's it for cars leaving the Kings Port Division in this series.  Next week I'll be posting about arrivals from John R, Neal's, and John B.'s layouts.

Keep an eye on their posts here

Neal's A.P.R.R.

Lots more action to come!

  2. A lot of action! Good to see your new industry is jumping right into the commerce. I like the shot of the two cabooses ( or is it CABEESE?) passing each other. I've always found your layout fun to see. For me it's a perfect size. Big enough for plenty of action yet not so big as to not be overwhelming for maintenance. (I hope).
