P.C.C.M. 80: Part 5 on the KPD

Welcome back to another "inbound" portion of this 80th virtual ops series between John's New York Central Train Layout , Neal's Atlantic Pacific R.R. , and my Kings Port Division.   In my previous installment the second train dispatched from John's  Terminal Yard, Extra #1805, set out cars at Kings Port and then continued on its way.   An hour later Extra #1805 reached West Mill with its short train.  Watch it arrive in the video below:

The three cars brought into West Mill Yard by Extra #1805 include EBRR #360279 loaded with processing machines from Reliable Machine for International Paper Co., NYC #80755 from Moore & Co. loaded with bulk cardboard for Canton Box Co., and NH #36116 loaded with pallets from City Pallet for Port Owen Brick Co.

The NH car is heading to Port Owen Brick Co. so it needs to be loaded on the car float.  SD9 #6922 prepares to grab the car

Watch the action in the video below:

The car is seen on the car float with coal hoppers for Port Owen's Edison Power Plant ready to depart.

After a 45 minute river trip the car is pulled off the float at Port Owen

...and set out at Port Owen Brick Co.

After the New Haven car was loaded onto the carfloat EBRR #360279 and NYC #80755 were coupled up to Penn Central boxcar #229046 which will be going to International Paper with the EBBR car.   Watch the yard switcher set out the International Paper Co. cars for the KP&W to pick up, and then prepare to deliver NYC #80755 to Canton Box in the video below:

The set out at Caxton Box looked like this.  TP&W #627 was pulled and NYC #80755 was set out in its place. TP&W #627, now loaded with shipping boxes for Schaefer Beer, was brought into the yard to be sent out during the next P.C.C.M. series.

Things settle for a while but later in the afternoon the Kings Port & Western's transfer from Williams Yard to Binghamton (The WiBi) arrives at West Mill to pick up the two cars for International Paper.

Watch the action as the WiBi's pair of F7As picks up the cars:

After picking up EBRR #360279 and PC #229046, the WiBi continues on its way to Binghamton.

After reaching Binghamton the two cars were taken off the train and forwarded on the KP&W's "Paper Run" to International Paper Co.

The cars are set out by KP&W GP9 #769

That's all for today.  We'll wrap it up tomorrow as a train from Weehawken brings cars from Neal's A.P.R.R. to West Mill.

    Terminal Yard out...

A lot of great visual railroading candy today Ralph! The Canton Box scene is one of my favorites, especially with ex NYC 8951! Car float operations and deliveries to Port Owen are great looking scenes and sequences. The big SD9 with three reacher cars working the car float is awesome. Much to enjoy!!! I like the named KP&W "Paper Run". Certain rail jobs develop their own unique names and I always like seeing that happen with our 1:87 scale trains. Well Done!!
