P.C.C.M. 61: 4th KPD installment. Trains arrive with virtual ops cars.

Hi gang!

Last weekend's posts about our 61st virtual ops series were focused on sending cars out to each other's layouts.  Now its time to show those trains coming onto our layouts with virtual ops cars to deliver to their consignees.

This is an active series and the Kings Port Division will be receiving cars from three other layouts.

The first to be featured are from John's New York Central Train Layout.  He dispatched train LI-1 to Selkirk with cars for both West Mill and Williams Yard on my layout.  Selkirk broke up the train and is sending two Extras southbound, one for Williams Yard and one for West Mill. The West Mill train leaves first.

Headed by a funky Penn Central mix of an U33C/ F7A consist the train is seen crossing the bridge at Kings Port in the video below:

Extra 6554 later arrives at West Mill.

Cars for destinations served by the KP&W:  Van Winkle Canning and Cavendish Foods...

Peerless Appliance and....

...ACME Auto Parts.

The hoppers are "non-virtual ops cars"  to add length to the train!

Extra 6554 enters West Mill Yard, passing EMD and Alco power.

The Extra ties up at West Mill next to two KP&W trains preparing to leave.

The second train dispatched from Selkirk (Extra 8046) about a half hour later, is seen arriving at King Port where it will back into the Kings Port & Western's Williams Yard to interchange with the KP&W.   Extra 8046 is powered by a pleasingly symmetrical GP38-2/F7B/F7B/GP38-2 lashup.

The tail end of the train consists of three TOFC that will be off-loaded at Williams Yard...That E.B.R.R. trailer sure is a nice looking!

A PC depressed well flat car holds an EMD prime mover for a bad ordered locomotive at the Williams Yard engine facility in Kings Port. The PS-2 covered hopper is filled with locomotive sand for the same facility.

Evans Bread Box Trough steel coil cars are often seen in moves at Kings Port for KP Steel.

A pair of corrugated PC gons loaded with scrap metal for KP Steel

A TDLX Cargill car loaded with whole wheat flour for Blue Ribbon Flour and a GM&O red boxcar loaded with steel wool products for Battaglia Bos Warehouse.

A crewman throws the switch so the train can back into Williams Yard as the Towerman from KP Tower observes in the background.

Watch Extra #8046 back into the yard in this video.

The train backs into Williams Yard.

The caboose and the TOFCs arrive first.

....followed by other rolling stock on the train.

Extra #8046 is now set out at Williams Yard and will soon be broken down for locals to deliver the cars to their final destinations.

That's it for now but stay tuned as cars from the A.P.R.R. and R.C.R arrive at West Mill.

Nice work getting the two extras from Selkirk onto the KPD. I really enjoyed the Williams Yard video and photo sequence.
The strings of virtual ops cars photographed on the KPD are always a joy to see!

Always lots of freight action going on in West Mill. The engine mix is every nice. Big fan of the Geeps. I'm sure Cappy will have the guys running all of West Mill!
