P.C.C.M. 66: Part 2 on the KPD

A happy weekend to all!

In the last installment, cars were forwarded to West Mill Yard to be assembled into trains for the A.P.R.R. and the N.Y.C.T.L.    Today's action focuses on the train from West Mill to Weehawken with cars that will be sent to the A.P.R.R.'s Rock Ridge Yard.

The nine cars for the A.P.R.R. are seen below:

A pair of EMD GP40s is assigned to the train that will be designated as Extra #3003.  The little pier on the river wall is a popular place to fish and watch trains at the same time!

The string of cars gets PC caboose #24520, officially making it a train.

Watch the train back out of West Mill Yard in the video below:

The pair of GP40s has backed the train beyond the Yard Entrance and pulls slightly ahead to get orders from WM Tower.

Watch the train depart in the video below:

The cars head on to Weehawken and eventually Rock Ridge Yard

Extra #3003 rolls out of West Mill.  The cut of cars in the foreground will be dispatched to the N.Y.C.T.L. tomorrow.

Extra #3003 disappears into the tunnel at the South end of town.

That's today's action.  The remaining outbound cars will head out tomorrow.

    Terminal Yard out...

Nice job handling the southbound traffic out of West Mill!! Nice pair of videos to enhance the op! Is GP40 3003 a new addition? Terminal Yard is standing by.

    1. Thanks. GP40 #3003 is a former AHM PC dummy numbered inaccurately as 6161. I repainted it earlier in the year after identifying it as a GP40 and assigned it a new number.

    Rock Ridge Yard Out!

Now that is one fine looking freight train for Rock Ridge consignees! It will be nice to see the Corning car heading to a new destination in NJ. The A.P.R.R will send it out on another manifest train that heads to Morrisville, PA outside of Trenton, NJ which will send it to Pennsylvania Glass Sand Co. in Cumberland, NJ
